About the Artist
I consider my mosaic work "painting" with tiles. I explore antique stores, dumpsters, garages and big dusty warehouses for tiles to create functional art. Mosaic allows me to collaborate with other artists that might not create mosaics.
I design and build both large and small projects in dimension with mosaic. For examples see the photos on this site. The final design is always a collaboration with the owner or group. I design with the idea of peace, a place to rest, convoke and commune with urban and rural nature. I design with the comissioner of the art in mind. I believe I am quite successful at this.
Mosaic is a useful and eternal art. Long after I am gone, my representation of the rapidly changing shapes of our personal landscapes and the environment we exist in will endure.
